Impostors on TikTok

Impersonation alert:
I was contacted today by a TikTok user who alerted me to the fact that someone on TikTok is masquerading as me. This person is using the username @seanfenian, using my name, my author photo, my book covers.
THIS PERSON IS NOT ME.
My social media presence is on Mastodon and Discord. The Mastodon account is bridged onto BlueSky. I also have a LinkedIn profile (though I do not consider LinkedIn “social media”, I consider it performative corporatism).
If you see an account purporting to be me on TikTok, on FaceBook, on Xitter ... in fact, fundamentally anywhere BUT Mastodon, Discord or my Amazon/Audible author pages ... IT IS NOT ME. It is someone masquerading as me. DO NOT BE FOOLED.
There is a reason I provide direct contact information in my books. If you want to talk to me, I want you to be able to know that it is me you are talking to.
I have filed an impersonation complaint with TikTok. I also filed a takedown request against pirated copies of my books I found on a document sharing site while researching the TikTok problem.
I AM NOT ON TIKTOK.
I AM NOT ON XITTER.
I AM NOT ON FACEBOOK.
Anyone you see using my name in any of these places is an IMPOSTOR. And they probably do not have your best interests at heart, much less mine.
